Big Ole Bass

My dad had just came back from Las Vegas and while he was there he went to bass pro shops and got me a bunch of cool new lures.

One of them happened to be a black soft plastic floating lizard. So I decided to use them in a local lake nearby one day and i wasn't really catchin much fish , maybe a few 1 or 2 pounders. When all of a sudden I just hooked into this monstrous fish!

At first I thought it was just a smaller guy hung up in the weeds but as soon as I saw him jump out of the water to shake the hook I about fell over!

This badboy had me shakin at the knees, I was so excited I quick called my dad up to hurry down to where I was to take my picture. It was one of the most amazing moments in my fishing life.

My dad couldn't believe I had caught a fish like this. He says he hasn't caught one that big in ten years. Not to mention I'm a pretty big guy standing at 5 foot 11 inches and weighing 216 pounds. Look how small this fish makes me look!

I didn't get the weight on it since I did not have a scale at the time but boy was he heavy. He had to have at least been pushin 8 pounds.
