Replacing old lure hooks

Q. I was gonna replace the treble hooks on my lures, but I've noticed that a lot of my lures don't have split rings. How do i replace them?

A. Hey Deano, this can be pretty simple if you got a good pair of diagonal cutters available. Check out these steps.

1. With your diagonal cutters, snip the eye of the hook, becareful not to cut the lure wire. Remove the old hook.


2. Using split rings, attach your new hook to the lure wire.

Now you've made it easier for future hook swaps also.
