Q. Its June here in IN, pitching a baby br. hog set hook loose fish after short fight look at lure no penetration going on with other buds r they clamping on sinker??
A. Are you using new hooks? Should you upgrade to better quality hooks?.
Other than that I would check your hook set. A proper hook set with a good, sharp hook should have no problem penetrating a fish's lip.
I would love to point you to a video that I have done but unfortunately don't have one on hook sets yet. But do a search on YouTube and I'm sure you will find plenty.
