About me, Raul Rodriguez
Hello and thanks for visiting bass-fishing-source.com. My name is Raul Rodriguez. Like probably most reading this, fishing has always been one of my favorite things to do since I was a kid and use to go out with my Grandpa and uncle to the local pond hoping to catch the "big one".
As an adult I was lucky enough to marry a woman, my wife Gloria, who also enjoys fishing and of course now have 3 kids that are growing up also loving fishing. Living in Texas, it's hard not to hear about bass fishing, well it's hard not to hear about it anywhere when it's on ESPN and now pretty much a major sport. But I guess that is what piqued my interest in this species of fish. By no means am I claiming to be a professional bass fisherman or to absolutely know all the ins and outs of this great past time but I have learned a lot in my search for the best ways to catch these fish and have some experiences that I feel others could draw upon to help them in their pursuit of the bass family. In my attempt to learn more about this great fish I sometimes felt overwhelmed with all the info that I was reading and trying to process. I decided to start a site where those that are in search of learning some of the basics of bass fishing can find it in one place rather than jumping around from site to site trying to absorb the wealth of information that is available but is sometimes geared towards the more experienced, maybe full time angler. My goal was to provide a means to identify the bass, provide some techniques to catch the bass you're after, and some info on the most popular lures for these bass. As the site evolves, I will add more and more bass related info and hope to have a means for you, the bass fishing fan, to become a part of the site by including your stories, pics and even your own tips and suggestions.
